EVoly Platform Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: April 2026
Our Commitment to Accessibility
EVoly is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.
This accessibility statement applies to the EVoly web platform (www.evoly.eu) and the EVoly mobile application for iOS and Android.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
EVoly is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
This conformance level was chosen to ensure that our platform is accessible to the widest possible audience, including:
- People using screen readers and other assistive technologies
- People with limited vision or color blindness
- People with mobility impairments who navigate using keyboard only
- People with cognitive disabilities who benefit from clear, consistent design
What does WCAG 2.1 AA mean?
WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance means that our platform meets internationally recognized standards for web accessibility. This includes proper color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, clear navigation, and text alternatives for images.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following features to support accessibility across the EVoly platform:
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements can be accessed using a keyboard without requiring a mouse
- Visible focus indicators show which element is currently selected
- Logical tab order follows the visual flow of the page
- Skip navigation links allow users to bypass repetitive content
Screen Reader Compatibility
- All content is structured with proper HTML headings (H1, H2, H3, etc.)
- Images include descriptive alternative text
- Form fields are properly labeled
- Status messages and notifications are announced to screen reader users
- Tables include proper headers and relationships
Visual Design
- Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 ratio for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Information is not conveyed by color alone
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Clear, readable fonts are used throughout the platform
- Consistent layout and navigation across all pages
Forms and Input
- Clear error messages that describe what went wrong and how to fix it
- Input fields are clearly labeled
- Required fields are clearly marked
- Time limits include options to extend or disable them where possible
Mobile Application
- Touch targets are appropriately sized (minimum 44x44 pixels)
- Support for platform accessibility features (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android)
- Adjustable text size through system settings
- Proper semantic markup for mobile screen readers
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following limitations:
Third-Party Content
- Amazon Cognito authentication screens: These screens are provided by Amazon Web Services and follow AWS accessibility standards. We have limited control over their design and functionality. If you experience accessibility issues with the login process, please contact us for alternative authentication methods.
- Uploaded documents: Documents uploaded by users (PDFs, Word files, images) may not be accessible if they were not created with accessibility in mind. We encourage all users to follow accessibility best practices when creating and uploading documents.
Complex Data Visualizations
- Calendar views: The monthly and daily calendar views in the mobile app may present challenges for screen reader users. We are working on improving the accessibility of calendar navigation and task display.
- Task statistics and charts: Some visual representations of data may require additional context for screen reader users. We provide text alternatives where possible.
File Upload Interface
- Drag-and-drop functionality: While we support drag-and-drop for file uploads, we also provide traditional file browser options to ensure all users can upload files successfully.
Mobile App Specific Limitations
- Gesture-based navigation: Some mobile features rely on swipe gestures. We provide alternative button-based navigation for users who cannot use gesture controls.
- Platform differences: Some accessibility features may work differently on iOS versus Android due to platform-specific implementations.
Assistive Technologies
EVoly is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
Screen Readers
- JAWS (Windows)
- NVDA (Windows)
- VoiceOver (macOS, iOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
- ChromeVox (Chrome OS)
Browser Compatibility
For the best accessibility experience, we recommend using the latest versions of:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
- Microsoft Edge
Minimum Requirements
- Desktop/Laptop: Screen resolution of 1366x768 or higher
- Mobile: iOS 14+ or Android 10+
- Keyboard: Full keyboard access without requiring a mouse
Testing and Evaluation
We regularly test our platform for accessibility compliance through:
- Automated accessibility testing tools
- Manual testing with keyboard navigation
- Screen reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
- User testing with people who have disabilities
- Regular accessibility audits by third-party experts
These tests help us identify and address accessibility issues before they affect our users.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We are committed to:
- Regular accessibility audits and testing
- Training our development team on accessibility best practices
- Incorporating accessibility from the earliest stages of design and development
- Responding to user feedback about accessibility barriers
- Updating this statement as we make improvements
We review and update our accessibility practices regularly to ensure we continue to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
