1. Essential Cookies (Always Active)

- Remember your device as trusted for 30 days (if you selected this option during login)
- Store your MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) settings

2. Analytics Cookies (Optional)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to gather this information.
Important: We only use analytics cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Session Duration and Automatic Logout
When you log in to the EVoly web platform:
- Idle timeout: If you are inactive for 30 minutes, you will be automatically logged out
- Absolute timeout: Your session will end after 1 hour, regardless of activity
- Warning: You will receive a warning 5 minutes before automatic logout
Note: These timeout rules apply to the web platform only, not the mobile app.
Trusted Devices
If you select "Trust this device for 30 days" during login:
- Your device will be remembered for exactly 30 days
- You will not need to complete MFA verification during this period
- After 30 days, you will need to verify with MFA again
- Logging in again does not extend the 30-day period
- You can have up to 5 trusted devices at once
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
On Your First Visit
When you first visit the EVoly landing page, you will see a cookie banner at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Click "Accept All" to allow all cookies, including analytics
- Close the banner without choosing (this is treated as rejecting optional cookies)
After Your First Visit
Your cookie preference is saved for one year. To change your preference:
- Clear your browser cookies (this will reset the banner)
- Visit the EVoly landing page again
- Make a new selection in the cookie banner
Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored
- Delete existing cookies
- Block all cookies
- Block third-party cookies only
Please note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to EVoly.

Mobile App
The EVoly mobile app (for Volunteers and Coordinators) does not use cookies in the same way as the website. The mobile app uses secure storage on your device to maintain your login session and preferences. Session management on the mobile app does not follow the same timeout rules as the web platform.
